Rockaboo Designs

Yay! So, along with a new year, comes a brand spankin' new blog design! I'd like to consider this a late Christmas present, and an early New Year's gift to myself!  After many failed attempts to design my own layout, I've sucked it up and turned to Etsy to find something special. I searched through hundreds of layouts, and couldn't stop coming back to this one. Rockaboo - you are my savior! I love you and this design is perfect!

Everything about this transaction was super pleasant, fast and efficient. She attached a detailed list of instructions to help me out with the installation and it couldn't have been easier. Everyone needs to go check out her lovely work, and let her know how awesome she is!

Finally getting a custom design is the first step to start pushing my blogging career forward. I can't wait for all the exciting things to come along with this new year. Keep an eye out for my 2013 goals!

I hope everyone enjoys the new look, and thanks again Kayla!

July 7, 2012

Uh oh... Happy July?

Has it really been a month since I posted my June goals?  Where does the time go?  I feel like a somewhat of a failure, but I guess one of my personal goals is not to let the small things get me down!  So, let's see how I've done.  I'll keep working toward these for July, wahoo!

Personal
Eat consistently healthier - I've been somewhat true to this.  I try people, but sometimes I just need to have a bacon egg and cheese for breakfast and cookies for dinner.  My main kudos to myself with this is that I snack on fruit instead of candy.
Don't let the small things bring me down - I feel like I should cross this off, but it's something that bugs me on the reg, so I'll keep working at it.  Meh.
Remember to breathe - Life is outrageous sometimes, and I've officially decided there's nothing I can do about it besides breathe and smile.
Keep at my gym/running routines - I've been good, but not as good as I should be.
Be more crafty, take more photos - Maybe I should start carrying around my actual camera with me??  iPhone, you are great, but you are not inspiring me.  Sorry.
Stop spending money like I'm a millionaire! - Yay! Go me.  I've even gone one step further and made a pretty little spreadsheet on my iPad to keep track of my budget and expenses!

Professional
Get a big girl job (...) - Ha, I can't take this goal seriously.  I will never make it in the corporate world.  I've gone to college, gotten my degree and my real passion is in the hair industry.  I just have to work hard to make myself great.
Continue to further my personal passion for hair - I'm doing what I can do right now.  I want more.  Hopefully a recent job application to an amazing and inspiring salon in New York will mean good things for me.
Keep this blog going! - Am I doing a good job?  I think so?  Maybe?
Get awesome business cards - Thanks to Mitzi and her lovely Etsy shop, I have wonderful and professional business cards!
Start my 5 faves video - I might nix this goal.  I don't really feel too inspired to make a video, and every time I turn on the camera (twice) I feel like an idiot and just want to hide in the corner.  Sorry Five Faves, I'll save you for another time.

Do you have any goals this month?
